Ink bottles (original or compatible) can go in your regular household recycling bin.
♻️ Since they contain no electrical components, they can be recycled just like other plastics. We recommend rinsing out any remaining ink first before recycling.
Zero Waste Recycling
StinkyInk has partnered with Zero Waste Recycling to provide recycling for our products. They accept a wide range of items including ink cartridges, laser cartridges, toner bottles, imaging units, drum units, fuser units, transfer belts, and waste toner bottles.
Why Recycling Matters: The Plastic Waste Crisis
- 🌊 10 million tonnes of plastic enter our oceans every year—that’s like dumping a bin lorry of waste every minute.
- 🐟 By 2050, there could be more plastic in the ocean than fish unless we act now.
- 📈 Plastic production has soared from 2 million tonnes in 1950 to over 450 million tonnes annually today.
- 🗺️ The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is now three times the size of France—and growing every day.
- By recycling your printer consumables, you’re helping to reduce waste, conserve resources, and keep plastic out of our oceans.
Prefer to Recycle with Your Printer Manufacturer?
- Many printer brands offer their own recycling programs for original (OEM) cartridges.
- ⚠️ Important: Manufacturer schemes only accept original cartridges, and you must send them to the correct brand (e.g., HP cartridges go to HP’s scheme).
- We’ve compiled a list of available manufacturer recycling programs, and we update it regularly to keep the details current.
